Specimen Handling and Transport

Place the specimen in a 90 ml sterile screw-capped container of sterile normal saline and label the container according to CLS requirements. The container must securely tightened to eliminate any leakage.

Immediately after collecting the specimen, call Neuropathology to inform the Technologists and they will arrange for pick up of the specimen.
