Most frozen section reports will be communicated to the surgeon within 20 minutes from the time the specimen is received. After normal hours, the physician should contact the Pathologist on-call at your site. For Neuropathology cases, contact the Neuropathologist on-call through the Foothills Medical Centre. For Neuropathology cases at the Alberta Children's Hospital, contact the pathologist on-call at that site.
