Specimen Handling and Transport

Obtain approximately 1.5 mg of tissue. More tissue may be required if there is significant steatosis of the liver.

Submit the specimen in an orange topped 90 ml sterile screw-capped container (metal free) with NO FIXATIVE. Label the container according to CLS requirements. The specimen must be submitted dry. Testing is performed at a referral site.
