For Transplant:

Information on organ donation for transplant in the Calgary area is available through the Human Organ Procurement and Exchange (HOPE) Program.

For Research and Teaching:

Tissues for research and teaching purposes will only be taken from autopsies after appropriate institutional approval and consent of the authorized representative. These tissues may require urgent attention as the tissue deteriorates rapidly. Call patient Placement at Foothills Medical Centre (Adults) or Alberta Children's Hospital (Pediatric) and follow transport instructions for Adult Autopsies or Pediatric Autopsies.
