Specimen Handling and Requirements

Direct touch smears or aspirate fluid onto a glass slide and immediately spray with Cytospray fixative. Time is very important. Allow slide to dry. Label the specimen according to CLS requirements and place in slide mailer for transportation to the Cytopathology laboratory.
