Specimen Requirements	2 x 5 mL lavender top EDTA tube 1 x 5 mL blue top sodium citrate tube
Specimen Handling	PSC/RRL: Send specimens UNSPUN at room temperature to DSC Molecular Hematology within 4 hours of collection. Extra-regional: Send lavender top tubes UNSPUN at room temperature to DSC Molecular Hematology within 24 hours of collection. Centrifuge blue top tube at 3500 rpm for 20 minutes, aliquot plasma into 4 plastic tubes. Freeze and transport frozen to DSC Molecular Hematology.
Additional Information	Call Molecular Hematology at 770-3699 to book testing. Test can only be ordered by a Hematologist. Specimens must be accompanied with a copy of the original requisition. Include family history and ABO blood group.
