FLCC
If a differential is ordered, enter both the cell count mnemonic FLCC and differential mnemonic FLC.
1 x 5 mL lavender top EDTA tube or 1 x 5 mL dark green top sodium heparin tube
Place 2.5 - 3 mL of fluid into EDTA or sodium heparin tube immediately following collection. Mix well by inverting tube 6-8 times.
