Avoid contact of blood with rubber stopper of collection tube.
Specimen Handling
Centrifuge ASAP and remove serum to plastic tube immediately. This MUST be done at the collection site. DO NOT transfer to a glass tube or use glass pipets.
PSC: transport serum on ice to DSC. RRL & extra-regional: freeze serum prior to transport to DSC.
