Special collection tube, 2.7 mL draw K3 EDTA, available from CLS Referrals (770-3285)

Collect on ice.

Collections performed at Sloane Square, Sunridge, Beddington, and Glenbrook PSC, and acute care (RRL) sites ONLY.

Overnight fast required.

 
Specimen Handling

PSC: Spin in refrigerated centrifuge, pour off into plastic screwcap Sarstedt2 aliquot tube (available from CLS Referrals), and transport plasma on ice to DSC.
RRL & extra-regional: Spin in refrigerated centrifuge, pour off into plastic screwcap Sarstedt2 aliquot tube (available from CLS Referrals), and freeze plasma immediately.  Then transport frozen to DSC.
