Specimen Requirements
2 x 5 mL red top tubes, NOT SST
Specimens can be collected any day of the week. If collected on testing days (Monday & Thursday) specimens must arrive at DSC Molecular Hematology by 1000 hr.
Specimen Handling
Send specimens to DSC Molecular Hematology.
RRL: If after courier hours, spin in refrigerated centrifuge, aliquot serum into 4 plastic tubes, freeze at - 70 degrees C.
DSC Accession: After 1630 hr, spin in refrigerated centrifuge, aliquot serum into 4 plastic tubes, freeze at - 70 degrees C.
