Specimen Requirements

1 x 5 mL lavender top EDTA tube

Whole blood

Mix well by inverting the tube 8 to 10 times.

 
Specimen Handling

DO NOT centrifuge. Keep refrigerated.

Submit specimen and completed requisition to Anatomic Pathology Gross Room, 11th floor, Foothills Hospital, Attention Molecular Pathology. Specimens may be sent Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Specimens collected on weekends or holidays MUST be kept refrigerated and sent the next working day.

 
Additional Information

Clinical information must include the CLS accession number of the tumor biopsy.
