Muscular Dystrophy

Adults: 3 x 5 mL (or 2 x 7 mL) lavender top EDTA tube - whole blood
Pediatric: 2 x 3 mL tubes
Infants: 2 to 3 mL
Newborns: 1 mL

May be collected at any Patient Service Center Monday to Thursday only.

DO NOT centrifuge or separate specimen. DO NOT freeze.

Transport specimen, along with ACH Molecular Diagnostic Lab requisition, at room temperature without delay. If overnight storage cannot be avoided, store in refrigerator (specimen must arrive at ACH before noon on Friday.)

PSC: Transport to DSC.
RRL: Transport to ACH.
