Special PTH-RP collection tube
Minimum 2 mL plasma
Collection available by appointment only to ensure non-expired PTH-RP collection tubes on site. Collections performed at Sloane Square, Sunridge, Beddington, and Glenbrook PSC, and acute care (RRL) sites ONLY.
Place PTH-RP tube on ice prior to drawing the sample. Collect whole blood into syringe and transfer into collection tube. Alternately, if a syringe is not available, collect the blood in a cold red top tube (DO NOT centrifuge red top tube) and immediately transfer the sample into the cold PTH-RP tube. After collection, mix thoroughly by inversion. |
