DO NOT centrifuge or separate specimen. DO NOT freeze.
Transport specimen, along with copy of Molecular Diagnostic Lab requisition, at room temperature without delay. Requisition must include results for previous hemoglobin electrophoresis testing.
Specimen must arrive at ACH before noon on Friday. Specimens collected after noon Fridays and over the weekend can be stored in a refrigerator for shipment to the Molecular Diagnostic Lab on Monday mornings.
