1.0 mL serum 

Minimum Blood Volume for Patients less than 45 kg (100 lb) Including Neonates and Pediatrics
 
Specimen Handling

PSC: Centrifuge, pour off, and transport on ice to DSC. DSC will freeze samples when it arrives.

RRL & Extra-regional:  Immediately freeze serum.  Ensure frozen specimen is packaged with appropriate packaging material so it remains frozen in transit.
