Availability

Packed red cells and plasma prepared from whole blood that has been leukodepleted. Plasma products may not be available. Must be collected by CBS.

Ordering

Requests for Directed Donation preliminary testing requires the completion of the "Directed Donation Package" available from Transfusion Medicine. This process is usually reserved for patients that are minors.

Notes

Directed Donor units must be transfused prior to issue of allogeneic units
