Pretransfusion Testing

• Once per admission.

Availability

Equivalent apheresis product may be substituted.

Ordering

• Standard adult dose is 5 units.
• Order with special attributes (irradiation, CMV negative, etc).

Notes

• Allow 30 minutes for pooling before issue.
• Additional time for further manipulation may be required.
• Allow time for transport at ACH and RGH.
