Indications

Pretransfusion Testing

• Required once per admission.
• Additional testing for HLA antibodies may be required.
• For further information please see Pretransfusion Testing and Regional Transfusion Service Identification System (RTSIS).

Availability

• Routinely irradiated and CMV negative.
• If HLA match required, inital unit requires 3 to 4 working days.
• Unmatched available as required.

Ordering

Eligibility criteria must be met.

Notes

• Additional time for further manipulation may be required.
• Allow time for transport at ACH, PLC and RGH.
