Standing Orders for Tests

Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) provides a Standing Order service for patients who need to have tests repeated on a regular basis (e.g. weekly, monthly, bimonthly) as ordered by a physician. To qualify, a Standing Order Test Request must have a frequency of order at least 4 times/year.

If the frequency for collections is three or less times per year, the request will not be processed as a Standing Order but copies of the requisition will be provided to the patient for their required number of visits.
