Requisition

CLS Non-Gynecological Cytopathology Requisition (REQ9041CY-NON)

Specimen Handling and Requirements

Using a 20-22 gauge needle, aspirate the lesion using multiple passes. Express the contents of the syringe into the Cytolyt container and rinse the needle in the same solution.

Containers must be securely tightened to eliminate any leakage.

Label the containers according to CLS requirements.

Send specimens together to the Cytopathology laboratory.
