Specimen Requirements Blood:
2 x 4 mL lavender top EDTA tubes.
NOTE: Blood is the preferred specimen type. 
Blood collection ONLY at TBCC and PLC sites, Monday to Thursday before 1330h (holidays excluded).

Bone Marrow: 
1 x 4 mL lavender top EDTA tube

Specimen Handling DO NOT centrifuge. Place on ice immediately after collection. Specimens must be received at DSC within 2 hrs of collection and before 15:30.

DSC Accession: after 16:30, store at 4ºC.
Additional Information Specimens must be accompanied by a completed CLS Molecular Hematology requisition (MH4500).
