Protect from light by using brown bottle for collection, or by wrapping entire container in foil.

Specimen Handling Centrifuge sample for 3 mins at 500 Xg.

Include centrifuge details, gestational age, phone/pager number to report results.
NOTIFY Analytical Toxicology at DSC (403-770-3620) when sending sample.

Within Calgary:
Deliver sample on ice to be received at DSC within 4 hours of collection.

Extra-regional:
Send frozen sample on ice ASAP.
