Specimen Requirements Collections performed at acute care (RRL) sites and all PSCs. Test cannot be collected by Mobile Collection Service (MCS).

1 x 3.5 mL gold top SST tube

 
Specimen Handling Allow to clot and centrifuge at room temperature, pour off and freeze serum immediately, then transport frozen to DSC.

DSC:
Immediately place specimens in designated freezer; ensure frozen specimens do not thaw.
