| Specimen Handling | PSC: Centrifuge at 4ºC + 2ºC, pour off into plastic screwcap Sarstedt2 aliquot tube (available from CLS Referrals), and transport plasma on ice to DSC. RRL & extra-regional: Centrifuge at 4ºC + 2ºC, pour off into plastic screwcap Sarstedt2 aliquot tube (available from CLS Referrals), and freeze plasma immediately. Then transport frozen to DSC. DSC: Freeze specimens upon receipt in lab; ensure frozen specimens do not thaw. | |
