Minimum Whole Blood Volumes for Micro-Collections using Microtainers

Collect specimen 0-60 minutes prior to next dose.

Specimen Handling STAT samples received between Sunday at 20:00 to Monday at 06:00 or during those hours on a STAT holiday, should be sent to ACH for testing.

Record time of last dose on requisition. 

Time to steady state: adults 10-25 days, children 8-15 days.
It is important for comparative measurement that sampling time be consistent.
