Minimum 0.5 mL CSF collected in sterile tube

This test must be ordered in conjunction with Lactate - CSF, with both tests performed on the same sample.

This test must be booked at the ACH Biochemical Genetics lab (403-955-7379) at least 24 hours in advance, and collected at ACH with a member of the ACH Biochemical Genetics lab present.

Additional Information Send a copy of the requisition with the specimen.

Test will NOT be performed if patient has NOT had a previous elevated blood lactate level.
