Specimen Requirements This is a user pay test not covered by Alberta Health & Wellness. The patient’s employer must have arrangements in place to be invoiced by CLS for the testing, or the patient must pay $125 at time of collection. Employers who need to make billing arrangements should be referred to CLS Finance (Accounts Receivable) at 403-770-3239.

5 mL aliquot of "end of work shift" urine collection. 
Specimen Handling Transport on ice to DSC.

DSC: 
Freeze specimen within 24 hours of collection (or preserve with HCl by adding 5 mL of urine to transport vial containing 50 µL of 7.5 mol/L HCl before sending to DynaLife). 
Additional Information Send specimen in a separate bag with a photocopy of the requisition.
