Specimen Requirements	Test cannot be collected by Mobile Collection Service (MCS). 1 x 7 mL royal blue top red band non-additive tube (available from CLS Referrals Department) Minimum volume: 2 mL Wear non-powdered gloves throughout collection.
Specimen Handling	PSC & RRL: Centrifuge, pour off in plastic Sarstedt tube (use plastic pipet, not glass), and transport serum to DSC. Send specimen in a separate bag with a photocopy of the requisition. Extra-regional: Centrifuge, pour off in plastic Sarstedt tube (use plastic pipet, not glass), and freeze serum prior to transport to DSC. Send specimen in a separate bag with a photocopy of the requisition. DSC: Freeze specimens upon receipt in lab; ensure frozen specimens do not thaw.
