Stat Testing CLS & CRL

A stat test should only be requested when it directly affects patient care in an urgent or medical emergency circumstance.

The tests listed below are available on a stat basis without Pathologist or Microbiologist approval.
The Pathologist on Call may be contacted for consultation at any time by phoning 403-860-1802.
The Microbiologist on Call may be contacted at any time by phoning 403-770-3757.

* Performed at select Acute Care Sites, Health Centre Testing Laboratories and/or the DSC (turn around time may be greater than 90 minutes from time specimen is collected to time results are verified if transport is required). Refer to individual test page for testing location(s).
