Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) is committed to protecting your privacy.

CLS will not collect, use, or disclose personal or health information in any manner that is not in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act  or the Health Information Act.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

CLS will only disclose personal or health information for approved purposes as authorized by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act  or the Health Information Act.

For example, your health information is sent to Alberta Electronic Health Record, Alberta Health & Wellness programs such as the Cervical Cancer Screening Program and the Colon Cancer Screening Program, and shared with health care providers in accordance with the Health Information Act  for purposes of providing you with health services.

Your consent is required before CLS can give your health information to non-health care service providers or agencies, except when required by law or in emergency situations.
