Note: CBC is required if not already collected on the same day
Specimen Requirements

Adult:
1 x 8.5 mL yellow top ACD“A” tube
AND 1 x 4 mL red top tube, NOT SST 

Pediatric:
1 x 1.8 mL short-draw blue top sodium citrate tube
AND 1 x red top, NOT SST (collect 1 mL)

Whole blood and serum

Collect Monday - Thursday ONLY
Fridays: urgent requests must be pre-booked. Phone Flow Cytometry at 403-944-4771.

Note to ordering physician: test is restricted to pediatric patients <19 years of age only.  Test can only be ordered by a Hematologist or Oncologist.  Phone Flow Cytometry at 403-944-4771 with any questions about these restrictions.

Specimen Handling Centrifuge ONLY the red top tube and separate serum into aliquot tube.
Deliver serum sample and whole blood yellow top tube immediately to FMC Flow Cytometry.
Additional Information Test includes Neutrophil Associated Immunoglobulin.
