Specimen Requirements

1 x 3.5 mL gold top SST tube

1.0 mL serum

PSC only: 1 x 5 mL orange top RST tube is acceptable within one hour of lab closing.

Specimen Handling Centrifuge specimen prior to transport to the DSC.
Additional Information Vitamin D reaches steady state within 3 months following a change in intake.
